The era of VHS has come and gone and DVD sales literally wiped the market a few years ago. But, with the ever changing pace of technological progress, even DVD and Blu-Ray seem to be grasping for a market share. So how are these forms of distribution being challenged? The Internet! With more homes and business jumping into the era of broadband bandwidth, people are less likely to play tangible media.

DVD's took a major spike in their growth levels for more than 10 years. Then Blu-Ray came along and competed for market share and for the perception of higher quality. This has shifted many of the sales for both media. Eclipse's famous star. Our Vertical Streaming staff managed to take a picture of a very famous actor, Robert Pattinson. If you’re a fan of “Twilight, New Moon, and soon, Eclipse” you know who we are talking about.

The new movie Eclipse will be premiering this month. There is already a huge pre-screening line for it.  It should be another blockbuster movie for the summer.

Mario talks about his experience at the Cannes Film Festival. Vertical Streaming was part of the event in 2009, along with American Pavillion. In 2010, VS was a partner and presence again for streaming live video for two American Universities: Bentley University and Colombia College Chicago. College students were able to be part of the experience while the event was being held across another continent.

This media delivery format has been a success for universities, especially because it offers so many benefits. It's a cost effective move for schools and, at the same time, gives them the ability to offer more for students who are unable to travel to France for the live event.
